The SmartMare for any gear with a 3.3V SmartMedia slot. It emulates a SmartMedia card and backs it up on your computer over USB-C. The focus is the BOSS SP-303, with a sample loader for your own sounds on its pads, and we are keeping an eye on the Zoom SampleTrak.
In any gear with a 3.3V SmartMedia slot, SmartMare 3.3V acts as a regular SmartMedia card. On the BOSS SP-303, it does more: a sample loader and more features made for it.
Slide it into the SP-303: it formats, saves and loads like an original 3.3V SmartMedia card.
From your computer, put your own WAV files on the SP-303's pads, and get its sounds back out.
Plug it into your computer and save everything on it. Put it back any time. Nothing to install.
SmartMare 3.3V works in any gear that takes 3.3V SmartMedia cards. Check your manual: if it says SmartMedia, 3.3V, it belongs here.

A 5V slot needs the other card: SmartMare 5V, for the BOSS SP-202, Roland MC-505, JX-305, JP-8080, XP-30 and more. 5V and 3.3V cards have their cut corner on opposite sides, so a card of the wrong voltage does not go in.
SmartMare 3.3V comes after the first batch of SmartMare 5V. Its size, capacity, price and date will be announced in the forum first.
